After suffering from chronic migraine headaches since I was 7 and later experiencing chronic joint pain as a teenager, a family friend suggested I try Acupuncture. It changed my life! The pain I had been having trouble managing with medication for years started to improve. The relationship I had with my symptoms began to change as a result of my Acupuncture treatments. Each symptom began to be my teacher and help me observe what was happening in my body and when I needed to alter my self-care.
It was during an Acupuncture treatment that I realized “this is what I want to do”. I have always wanted to help people feel better after experiencing some truly awful interactions with doctors while growing up. Chronic illness does not only have a physical affect on a person, there is also a mental and emotional component. Acupuncture helped me manage the anxiety around my pain. Because of my experiences, I strive to help others find that relief from their suffering with Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Acupuncture (M.Ac.) and Chinese Herb certification from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia). I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland (L.Ac.). I earned my B.A. in Communications from Centenary College of New Jersey.
My promise to my patients is to give them a safe, sacred space where they feel comfortable, heard, and tended. Through Acupuncture and herbs, I’ll help facilitate the body’s own ability to heal itself.
I am happy to answer any questions you have about how Acupuncture and herbs could help you. Call or schedule an introductory consultation and I look forward to working with you!
